The most important people to this office, either in person or otherwise.
Not an interruption of our work, but the purpose of it.
We are not doing them a favor by serving them; they are doing us a favor by giving us an opportunity to do so.
Not outsiders to our governmental process; they are part of it.
Not cold statistics - names on a filing card or in a computer.
They are flesh-and-bone human beings with biases, prejudices, feelings and emotions like our own.
Not somebody to argue with. Nobody ever won an argument with a taxpayer.

TAXPAYERS ARE:

People who bring us their individual concerns, and it's our job
to respond to those concerns effectively.
